A dirlo \u00e8 lo studio \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.observa.it\/venti-anni-di-scienza-nella-societa-in-sintesi\/\">Annuario Scienza, Tecnologia e Societ\u00e0 2024<\/a>\u201d condotto dal centro di ricerca <a href=\"https:\/\/www.observa.it\/chi-siamo\/\"><em>Observa Science in Society<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>L&#8217;alfabetismo scientifico in Italia<\/h2>\n<p>Da quasi vent\u2019anni <em>Observa<\/em> monitora l\u2019<strong>alfabetismo scientifico<\/strong> in Italia ponendo quesiti su temi scientifici fondamentali ad un campione annuale di 1000 cittadini. I risultati mostrano un costante <strong>aumento delle competenze scientifiche<\/strong>. Nel 2007 met\u00e0 degli italiani sapeva che il Sole non \u00e8 un pianeta, mentre solo due su cinque conoscevano la funzione degli antibiotici e l\u2019esistenza di elettroni pi\u00f9 piccoli degli atomi. Dal 2021 ad oggi circa il <strong>60% degli italiani<\/strong> ha dimostrato di saper <strong>rispondere correttamente a tutti i quesiti<\/strong> di cultura scientifica generale. Questo incremento \u00e8 particolarmente evidente tra le <strong>nuove generazioni<\/strong> e le persone con un <strong>elevato livello di istruzione<\/strong>. Tuttavia, restano indietro gli ultrasessantenni e chi ha un basso titolo di studio, evidenziando una disparit\u00e0 nella diffusione delle conoscenze scientifiche nel paese.<\/p>\n<h2>Internet e i social hanno aumentato il grado di alfabetismo scientifico<\/h2>\n<p>Il progressivo incremento del livello di <strong>alfabetismo scientifico<\/strong> \u00e8 in parte associato all&#8217;aumento dell&#8217;accesso a informazioni scientifiche con <strong>Internet<\/strong> e i <strong>social media<\/strong>. Secondo <em>Observa<\/em> dal 2023 oltre la met\u00e0 degli italiani consulta siti web dedicati a <a href=\"https:\/\/sceglab.uniroma3.it\/index.php\/2024\/11\/11\/lintelligenza-artificiale-e-il-futuro-della-societa-ia\/\">scienza e tecnologia<\/a>, un significativo miglioramento rispetto al 2007, quando solo un italiano su dieci cercava <strong>informazioni scientifiche online<\/strong>. Nell\u2019ultimo decennio la diffusione dei social media ha contribuito enormemente a rendere pi\u00f9 fruibile la scienza. <strong>Instagram<\/strong> oggi rappresenta una <strong>fonte di informazione scientifica<\/strong> per ben il <strong>50% degli italiani<\/strong>, soprattutto per i pi\u00f9 giovani.<\/p>\n<h2>L&#8217;importanza dell&#8217;incremento dell&#8217;alfabetismo scientifico secondo <em>Observa<\/em><\/h2>\n<p><em>Observa<\/em> si propone di creare un dialogo costruttivo tra ricercatori e comunit\u00e0 attraverso i suoi progetti di <strong>ricerca<\/strong>, <strong>pubblicazioni<\/strong> e attivit\u00e0 di <strong>sensibilizzazione<\/strong> sui rapporti tra <strong>societ\u00e0 e scienza<\/strong>. I curatori dell\u2019<em>Annuario 2024<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/mb.soc.unitn.it\/\">Massimiliano Bucchi<\/a> e <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unibo.it\/sitoweb\/barbara.saracino\/\">Barbara Saracino<\/a>, puntano ad <strong>aumentare l&#8217;attenzione<\/strong> dei cittadini verso il mondo scientifico, sanitario e ambientale.
